Hi Everyone – All of us here at Leadership Women hope you are having a marvelous Spring – we certainly are! We happily kicked off Leadership Texas in Dallas at the end of February and Leadership America in Boston at the end of March – both full classes and very well received. Next up is Bryan/College Station for Leadership Texas (May 21-23) and Leadership America in New Orleans (June 4-6). Leadership Texas’ session will feature a keynote by Dr. Bonnie Dunbar, distinguished academic, scientist, former NASA astronaut, pilot, and educator – and of course, an LT 1999 graduate! LT will also visit our friends at Texas Task Force 1, Disaster City, TEEX and TTI. Leadership America will include a session on “Crucial Conversations” by Dr. Alise Cortez, LT’14, LA’15 and will highlight topics such as Coastal Protection and Restoration, the future of New Orleans and serving on Corporate Boards. Just as a reminder, as a graduate member you are entitled to attend any future session of either LA or LT (depending on which program you are a graduate of) for the cost of meals. If you are interested in doing this, please check with Laura Logan for availability.
Some exciting new things are happening at LW this Spring! Our new database will make it easier for you to stay in touch with fellow class members as well as locate other LW grads in your area. Along with the new database will be a new LW website, which will allow us to feature graduates and offer new features… sign up for inclusion in our Speakers Bureau; advertise the job vacancy at your workplace on our Job Board, and sign up for early info on future Leadership Encore and Leadership International programs – and much more. We will be asking for your feedback once we launch.
