Rita K. Adeniran, DrNP, has a compelling record of leadership and advocacy for diversity, inclusivity, and cultural competency in healthcare. Previously, she served as Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where she provided strategic leadership and direction for diversity, inclusion, and culturally competent health care. As the Global Nurse Ambassador for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) for over a decade; she led the scalable Global Nurse Program to bring recognition to the HUP as a leader in cultural competence education and inclusive practice environments, as well as becoming a global resource and clinical education center for nurses worldwide. She completed a three year prestigious fellowship through the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellows Program in 2015.
