Karen Lewis (Rowlett, Texas) is a native Arkansan. She graduated from Forrest City High School in 1992 and obtained her Associate Degree May 1994. Karen attended the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Arkansas where she graduated December 1996 earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems. She then completed her Master of Project Management degree December 2013 from DeVry Keller’s School of Management. Karen worked for Wal-Mart Corporation in Bentonville, Arkansas and for Transamerica RealEstate Tax Service as a COBOL/DB2 computer programmer. She joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) in 2002 as an Account Support Analyst coordinating the implementation of mid-market, national and major national accounts’ book of business. She grew up through the ranks in account implementation and became a member of the management team in 2008. Currently, Karen is a Sr. Director in the Sales Delivery Group/Group Experience Team supporting Commercial and Government client installations, located in the Richardson, TX HQ. She is a proud participant and graduating member of the Leadership Women class of 2018, The Best Class Ever! Karen resides in Rowlett, TX with her husband Derek, of 20 years, and three children (17, 10 & 8). She enjoys Friday date night with hubby and precious family time. She is the Women’s Ministry and Music Ministry Director at Love and Grace Community Church in Balch Springs, TX. Kingdom building is a must!
