Dr. Minita Rameriz (Laredo, Texas) holds her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University. Her MS in School Administration was earned at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and her BA in Secondary Education from TAMIU. As VP, Dr. Ramírez oversees a broad spectrum of initiatives for the Office of Recruitment and School Relations, Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Housing, Recreational Sports, Student Counseling, International Programs, Student Orientation and Leadership, and Student Conduct and Community Engagement. Through innovative, culturally sensitive, environmentally aware and community-based recruitment strategies, Dr. Ramírez has helped increase student enrollment and, by extension, Laredo’s intellectual strength. Dr. Ramirez has been part of the TAMIU family in 2001.
