Mercy Murguia (Amarillo, Texas), Potter County Commissioner, represents Precinct Two, which predominately includes the East and Northeast sections of the county and sections of Downtown Amarillo. She has just been elected to her second term in office. The majority of the precinct is within the city proper of Amarillo, Texas. She is a lifelong resident of the precinct in which she represents. Mercy holds a MBA from West Texas A&M University with a concentration in Finance and Management. Her areas of concentration include Finance and Management. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. She currently has more than 17 years’ experience in the healthcare industry and business sector. Mercy is a prior member of the Amarillo YMCA Board of Directors and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is a current member of Los Barrios de Amarillo, Leadership Women Board of Directors, and the Texas Association of Counties, Executive Leadership Council.
