Lee Ellen Banks (El Paso, Texas) is the Chief Financial Officer for Diversified Interiors, Inc., a large, commercial subcontractor. Lee Ellen is an accomplished financial executive with a background of progressively responsible and diverse experience in accounting, budgeting, strategic planning, management, and leadership. Prior to joining Diversified Interiors, she served as Controller for the Family Office of a private investor. Lee Ellen has worked in the apparel industry for Perry Ellis International (Miami, Florida), a private label manufacturer (Tampa, Florida), Farah USA (El Paso, Texas) and other industries. She has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from New Mexico State University and is a CPA in Texas. Lee Ellen is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Texas, a 2021 Leadership America graduate and served as an LW Ambassador. In 2013, she was recognized as the Distinguished Alumna from the NMSU College of Business. She currently serves as a Trustee of the El Paso Fireman’s & Policeman’s Pension Fund (mayoral appointee). Banks is also a Sustaining Advisor/Member of the Junior League of El Paso. She has been a Board Member of many community organizations. She and her husband, Mike Mitchell, have two sons: Alex, a instructional designer in Brussels, Belgium, and Derek, a business development analyst in Denver. Lee Ellen enjoys running, fitness, cooking, and traveling.
