Joleen Chambers (Dallas, Texas) is a trained FDA Patient Representative (with an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling) and a national advocate (as a member of Consumers Union Safe Patient Project) for patients preventably harmed by implanted medical devices. Joleen is a graduate of Leadership Texas 2004 (Class Representative) and Leadership America 2010. Joleen chaired a Leadership Texas alumni program (Athenaeum 2006), grew a public school major fundraising enterprise, implemented a campaign strategy for a U.S. Senate race and currently serves on the boards of Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Undermain Theatre. Over her 40-year happy marriage to Jim (a non-profit search executive) she has had the privilege to live in MN, IL, CT, MA, MD and now in the Arts District of Dallas. Their son and his wife live in Seattle with their newborn son. Their daughter lives and works in San Francisco.
